Thank you for your interest in our little motel.
We are a small privately owned establishment with only 41 rooms.
Our group policy is as unique as we are and differs from larger chain hotels.
We have discovered that we can accommodate groups of up to 15 rooms without en masse comings and goings overwhelming the peaceful vibe many of our individual travelers choose us for.
Here's how it works:
You will choose up to 15 rooms of varying rates and sizes. We will set these rooms aside for your group.
Your guests can then call us to individually select and reserve a room that suits their taste and budget. Since we often sell out for weekends well in excess of a month ahead of time, this will help ensure that your guests can get a room with us.
One month prior to your group's arrival, any unclaimed rooms will be released to the general public. This way neither you nor the Motel will be left responsible for any un-rented rooms.
We will provide each arriving guest with a rooming list showing where the other group guests are, and if you have any welcome packets/gift bags/flowers you would like placed in your guests' rooms prior to check-in, we will happily do that for you. You will also have a contact person here to speak to if you want to call and find out who's reserved so far, how many rooms you have left, etc.
There is a $5.00 per room administrative fee that is due at the time you reserve your group block. This fee is non-refundable.
Huge chain hotels offer discounts so they can fill the many empty rooms they are left with once business travelers desert them for the weekend. Since our 41 rooms already book up at our normal, reasonable rates each weekend, we regret that we cannot offer group discounts.
Rates, photos and brief descriptions of our rooms can be found on our website at www.austinmotel.com. Best times to view the motel in person are on Sun, Mon, or Tues afternoons until 4pm. Not all rooms will be available to view, but you can get a general idea about the location, size, and types of rooms we have.
We take reservations up to 3 months in advance starting on the 1st of each month at 9a.m. (for example, on June 1st we begin taking reservations for all dates in September). PLEASE NOTE: The 9a.m. call in time is effective starting on January 1st 2008. Reservations for February and March 2008 are still being taken at 7am central time on the 1st of November and the 1st of December.
